Single use, patent pending breath control patch. Designed specifically for mouth application. The ELVT Breath Control Patch holds the lips shut and in a neutral position to promote nasal breathing. The ELVT Breath Control Patch retrains the respiratory system and subconscious mind to nasal breathe and engage the diaphragm. The patch features 2 vents and multiple layers for comfort and strength. Not recommended for children under 14 years old.

  • Wash/dry lips and surrounding area prior to use

    Remove adhesive protection liner from patch

    Close your mouth and keep both lips in full contact with each other

    Press adhesive against lips and hold firmly for 10 seconds

    After use, slowly remove and discard patch

    Wash / dry lips and surrounding area

    Inhale and exhale through nose

  • The ELVT Breath Control patch should be used as a tool to wean off of mouth breathing and retrain your subconscious mind.

    The nasal breathing switching point differs from person to person. This is because everybody has a different VO2 max, metabolism and carbon dioxide tolerance threshold. The time spent retaining your respiratory system to nasal breathe should be customized individually. Listen to your nose and let it dictate the pace. Be patient, it may feel uncomfortable at first, but your body will adapt.

    The ELVT Breath Control Patch should be worn while mentally preparing for a workout or competition, stretching, warming up, and during all low intensity workouts. Gradually increasing intensity as desired.

    While wearing the patch, inhale and exhale through the nose. The patch vents should be used for an emergency mouth inhale or exhale only.

    We highly suggest starting conservatively - Nasal breathing training program example:

    Week 1: Wear while meditating or mentally preparing for a workout or competition.

    Week 2 & 3: Wear while mentally preparing and stretching.

    Week 4 & 5: Wear while mentally preparing, stretching and warming up.

    Week 6-8: Wear while doing the above in addition to all low intensity workouts

    Week 9: Based on your tolerance progress, consider upping the intensity of your workouts. Listen to your nose and body and do not rush into it.

    After at least 8 weeks of consistent nasal breathing training, the ELVT Breath Control patch can be worn during higher intensity workouts. Scientific research has shown that healthy adults can breathe through their nose during high intensity workouts at up to 85-90% of their max heart rate. During maximum intensity training at 100% max heart rate, mouth breathing should be incorporated.

    The overall goal is to get to the point where you are able to complete a workout without wearing an ELVT Breath Control patch! Make the switch to reach your full potential in life and achieve new levels of performance and health!
